San Diego IP Law Group LLP was founded in 2009 by James V. Fazio, III and Trevor Q. Coddington, Ph.D. After many years of obtaining outstanding results for clients at major international law firms, we are dedicated to providing extraordinary legal talent and expertise at exceptional value for our clients. Before opening San Diego IP Law Group LLP, Mr. Fazio and Dr. Coddington worked for many years at several large national and international law firms, including Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP, Hunton & Williams LLP, Cooley LLP, and Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP. Mr. Fazio is also a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of California. Dr. Coddington is a former examiner with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and holds a Ph.D. in Physics.

In July, 2010, Trevor Q. Coddington and James V. Fazio, III were selected by their peers as among the Top Attorneys in Intellectual Property Litigation in San Diego, as published by the San Diego Daily Transcript.

Dan Brecht joined the Firm as Of Counsel in September, 2010. Mr. Brecht specializes in patent prosecution and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Prior to completing law school, Mr. Brecht obtained his professional engineering license and designed digital and analog flight control systems for military and commercial planes.
